Write what the set is about, add a set name if you have one (it goes on every card), pick an art style (Fantasy painting, Anime, Cute creatures, Sci-fi, Dark fantasy or Comic book) and set how many cards, up to six.

What makes a trading card set work
- Give every card one clear silhouette that players can recognize from across the table.
- Keep ability text short. Two lines that fit beat four that need squinting.
- Spread the HP: a few big cards and more small ones give the set a curve.
- Use one art style for the whole set and vary the colors by element or faction.
- Print one test sheet before a full run and read the text at actual size.
- Keep text 0.125 in inside the trim so nothing gets cut.

Cards are designed at trim size. Most printers ask for 0.125 in of bleed, so place each card in your printer's template and extend the frame color to the edge. Check the printer's own specs before you order.

Is the AI trading card generator free?
You can preview the whole flow free: real AI writing with sample images, so you can check the plan. Running it for real is on Plus ($10.50 a month, billed yearly) and uses 36 credits for four cards. The free plan also includes 3 free images a day in the image studio.
Can I add names, stats and text to the card?
Yes. Every card comes with a name, an HP number, a type line, two or three abilities and a set number, all set as real text. Rewrite any of them in Canvas, or add your own stat boxes with shapes and text.
What size are trading cards?
Standard trading cards are 2.5×3.5 in, about 63×88 mm. Idyllic designs at that size: 750×1050 px at 300 ppi, or 1500×2100 px with the Large export. For printing, most printers want 0.125 in of bleed, a 2.75×3.75 in file.
How do I make a matching set?
One run makes up to six matching cards with the same frame and set name. For more, run the flow again with the same theme, set name and art style. Set numbers start at 001 on each run, so renumber the new cards in Canvas.
Can I make cards that look like Pokémon or Magic cards?
Not copies. The flow draws original characters only, and never uses an existing franchise's characters, names, logos or card frames. You can make your own set that plays the same way, with creatures, HP, types and abilities, in the art style you choose.
Can I turn a photo into a trading card?
Yes, in Canvas. Open a card, select the art and choose Replace image to use your own photo, like your dog or your team, while the frame and stats stay in place.
Can I sell cards I design?
Paid plans include a commercial license for what you make. Keep the set original, with no franchise characters or logos, and it is yours to print and sell.
