Create Custom Gift Certificates

Idyllic's gift certificate maker designs custom gift certificates for your business from one line. Give the business name and the amount or service. The AI writer plans the artwork, Seedream 5 paints it to suit what you sell, and Idyllic sets 'Gift Certificate' in script, the amount, To and From lines and your name on a cream card. Print it at 8×4 in or send it as an image.

How to make it

Four steps, about a minute of your time. These are real screens from the run above.

  1. 01

    Name the business

Type the business name exactly as it should print, then the amount ('$100') or what the gift is for ('One 60-minute massage'). Pick a look (Elegant, Botanical, Modern, Luxury, Festive or Playful) and how many designs you want, up to four.

  2. 02

    Let it design

The AI writer plans different background artwork for each design and writes the lines: the title, the amount or service, and your business name. Seedream 5 paints artwork that suits what you sell, then Idyllic sets the type on a cream card with To and From lines. Preview the flow free first.

The certificates sit side by side, with the artwork on its own too, so you can pick the one that feels most like your shop.

Why it beats
a template

01

Artwork that fits what you sell

Botanicals for a spa, coffee beans for a café, ribbons for a boutique. The AI writer picks artwork for your business and keeps the detail to the right, so the card and its text stay clear.

02

Real type, not baked-in letters

'Gift Certificate' is set in script and the amount in a display face, all as editable text. Change a price, a font or a colour in Canvas without making the design again.

03

An amount, a service or a blank line

Give an amount like $100, a service like one 60-minute massage, or nothing at all and the amount prints as a blank line to fill in by hand. One design can cover every value you sell.

04

To and From, ready to fill

Every certificate has To and From lines on the card, so it works handwritten at the counter or typed for an email gift.

05

Your logo, your details

Upload your logo into Canvas and place it on the card, then add your address, website or a certificate number. Every layer moves.

06

Print it or send it

Print two to a US Letter sheet and trim, or send the same design as an image for last-minute gifts.

What makes a good gift certificate

  • Make the value impossible to miss. After the title, the amount or service should be the biggest thing on the card.
  • Leave room for a pen. To, From and a date need lines long enough to write on.
  • Say how to redeem it: your address, website or phone number in small type at the bottom.
  • Check the rules before you print an expiry date. In the US, gift certificates sold to customers can't expire for at least five years, and some states go further.
  • Match the look to the shop: calm and botanical for a spa, dark and rich for a cocktail bar, bright for a toy store.
  • Print on heavy card stock and sign each one by hand. It feels like a gift and is harder to copy.

Questions

Is the gift certificate maker free to use?

You can preview the whole flow free: the AI writer plans real designs and shows them with sample images. Running it for real is on Plus ($10.50 a month, billed yearly) and uses 27 credits for three certificates. The free plan also includes 3 free images a day in the image studio.

What makes a good gift certificate design?

A clear value, room to write and a look that matches the business. The title, the amount or service and your name should read at a glance, the To and From lines need space for a pen, and the artwork should hint at what you sell.

How can I create a customized gift certificate?

Type your business name and the amount or service, pick a look and run the flow. Then open the design you like in Canvas and change anything: the wording, fonts and colours, or add your logo, an expiry date and a certificate number.

What should a gift certificate include?

The words Gift Certificate, the amount or service, To and From lines, your business name and how to redeem it. Many businesses also add a certificate number, a signature and an expiry date where the law allows one.

What size is a gift certificate?

There is no single standard. Idyllic makes them 8×4 in: 1800×900 px for email and 3600×1800 px with the Large export for print. Two fit on a US Letter sheet.

Can I leave the amount blank?

Yes. Without an amount or service, the design prints a '$______' line to fill in by hand, so one design works for any value.

Do I need to be good at writing prompts?

No. You fill in a short form: the business name, the amount or service and a look. The AI writer turns that into the artwork brief and the copy. Prompts work in any language.

Can I print them at home?

Yes. Download the Large export, print it at 100% scale on heavy card stock, two to a Letter sheet, and trim. Or send the PNG by email or text.
