How to make it

Four steps, about a minute of your time. These are real screens from the run above.

  1. 01

    Type the offer

Write 'The offer', like '20% off your first order', then add the product, promo code, terms and business in 'Product, code and terms'. Pick a look (Bold, Retro, Clean, Playful, Premium or Holiday) and up to four designs.

Type the offer: Idyllic clip-worthy coupons with the offer, code and terms flow, step 1
  2. 02

    Watch it get designed

The AI writer cuts the offer to 1-3 words with your number exactly as given, writes what it is on, and sets your code and terms as typed. Seedream 5 makes a different picture of the product or treat for each coupon, then Idyllic sets the type. Preview the plan free first.

  3. 03

    Compare the coupons

Every coupon appears finished, side by side, next to its picture on its own, so you can pick the one that makes the offer look best.

Why it beats
a template

01

The offer comes first

The discount sits huge on a bold color panel on the left, with what it is on right underneath, so '20% OFF' reads before anything else.

02

Your code and terms, exactly

Your promo code goes in its own box, in a monospaced font, exactly as you typed it. No code given, no code box: the writer never invents one. Terms and expiry print on one line.

03

A picture that sells it

Seedream 5 makes a vivid picture of what the offer is on for the right panel: the pizza, the latte, the candle.

04

Print, email or post

Print the Large export, drop the Standard PNG into an email, or post it on your socials and site. One design covers every channel.

05

Edit every layer

Canvas has 144 fonts, text effects and shapes. Change the code for each channel, add your logo, or select part of the picture and describe a change.

What makes a coupon people use

  • Lead with the number. '20% OFF' or '$5 OFF' reads faster than a sentence.
  • Say exactly what it is on: 'any large pizza', 'your first order'.
  • Always add an expiry date. It gives people a reason to use it now.
  • Add the limits that matter, like one per customer or not valid with other offers.
  • Use a different code for print, email and social to see which one works.
  • Keep the terms short enough to read without squinting.

Coupon sizes

Idyllic coupon1800×800 px, or 3600×1600 Large9×4 in at 200 ppi; the Large export is 400 ppi at 9×4 in
Rack card size4×9 inThe same shape as the design; fits a #10 envelope
Dollar-bill size2.5×6 inA popular printed coupon size; the design scales to 2.5×5.6 in with a little room to spare
Email1800 px wideThe Standard PNG stays sharp in a typical 600 px email column

For print, most shops ask for 300 ppi and a small bleed, often 1/8 in. The color panel runs to the edge, so ask how your shop handles a file without bleed, and keep the code and terms away from the trim.

Questions

Can AI make a coupon from my offer?

Yes. Type the offer, add the product, code and terms, and Idyllic writes the copy, makes the picture and lays out three finished coupons in real type. Pick one and edit it in Canvas.

Is the AI coupon maker free?

You can preview the whole flow free: real AI copy with sample images, so you can check the plan. Running it for real is on Plus ($10.50 a month, billed yearly) and uses 27 credits for three coupons. The free plan also includes 3 free images a day in the image studio.

Will it make up a promo code?

No. A code appears only if you give one, exactly as typed. Without a code, the coupon has no code box; add one later in Canvas if you need it.

What size is a coupon?

There is no single standard. Dollar-bill size (2.5×6 in) is a popular print size, and 4×9 in rack cards are common too. Idyllic designs at 9×4 in, 1800×800 px, with a Large export of 3600×1600 px.

What should a coupon include?

The offer, what it is on, the business name, an expiry date and any limits, such as one per customer. Add a promo code if you redeem online, so you can track which coupon worked.

Can I email or post the coupon?

Yes. Download the Standard PNG, 1800×800 px, and drop it into your email, website or social posts. It stays sharp in a typical 600 px email column.

Can I use the coupons for my business?

Yes. Paid plans include a commercial license, and private mode keeps an unannounced promotion out of public view.
