AI 3D Model Generator
Idyllic's AI 3D model generator turns a text prompt or an image into a textured 3D model. Describe a character, prop or product, or start from a picture you made or uploaded, then export the model for games, AR or 3D printing. 3D is included on the Pro and Max plans, alongside image, video and design.

How it works
Three steps from idea to finished image.
- 1
Describe it or add an image
Write what you want, like 'a stylized treasure chest with iron bands and gold coins', or start from an image. One object per model gives the cleanest result.
- 2
Generate the model
Idyllic builds a textured 3D model from your prompt or image. If a detail is off, make the description more specific and generate again.
- 3
Export and use it
Download the model and bring it into your game engine, AR project or 3D printing slicer.
Text to 3D or image to 3D
Text to 3D is the quick way to explore ideas from a description. Image to 3D gives you more control: design the object as an image first, refine it with Edit with words, then turn that exact design into a model.
What you can make
- Game assets: props, weapons, furniture, crates, pickups and collectibles.
- Characters and creatures: stylized heroes, mascots, monsters and pets.
- Products: bottles, sneakers, packaging and gadgets for AR previews and mockups.
- 3D printing: miniatures, figurines, toys and desk pieces.
- Scene dressing: plants, lamps, rocks and decor to fill a level or a render.
Get a cleaner model from an image
- One object, centered and fully in frame.
- A plain background, like white or light grey.
- A front or three-quarter view so the shape reads clearly.
- Even, soft light without heavy shadows.
- Clear materials in the prompt: 'painted wood', 'brushed metal', 'matte plastic'.
Preparing a model for 3D printing
Treat the generated model as a strong starting point and check it before you print.
- Set the scale to your target size in the slicer.
- Check thin parts like swords, fingers and antennae, and thicken them in a 3D editor if needed.
- Give figurines a flat base so they stand.
- Textures show on screen; on a single-color printer, plan to paint the print.

Frequently asked questions
Is the AI 3D model generator free?
3D isn't on the free plan. It's included on Pro ($17.50/month billed yearly) and Max ($33.25/month billed yearly). The free plan gives you 3 images a day with no credit card, so you can design the object as an image before you turn it into 3D.
Can I turn a picture into a 3D model?
Yes. Upload an image or use one you created in Idyllic, and it becomes a textured 3D model. A single object on a plain background gives the cleanest result.
Do the models come with textures?
Yes. Models are generated with textures, so they look finished in a game, an AR scene or a render.
Can I use the models in a game engine?
Yes. Export the model and import it into your engine or 3D tool. Before placing it in a level, check its scale and orientation, and simplify it in your 3D software if you need lighter assets.
Can I 3D print the models?
Yes. Export the model, open it in your slicer, set the scale and check thin parts before printing. Textures are for screens, so single-color prints may need painting.
Can I use the models in AR?
Yes. Export a model to place products, characters or decor in an AR scene, for example a product preview or a branded experience.
How do I write a good text to 3D prompt?
Describe one object: its shape, materials and style, like 'stylized wooden treasure chest with iron bands, hand-painted texture'. Leave out backgrounds and scenery, since the model is just the object.
Can I sell or use the 3D models commercially?
Pro and Max include a commercial license, so you can use models in games, products and client work, and private mode keeps them out of the public gallery. Stick to original designs for anything you sell.
