Ready-made flow · Front-of-pack artwork, then a photo of it on the box

AI Packaging Design Generator

Idyllic's AI packaging design generator turns one line about your product into front-of-pack artwork in three different directions, with your brand name lettered in. Qwen Image 3 draws the flat artwork, then each design is placed on your package (a box, pouch, paper bag, tin, bottle, jar or can) in a styled, photoreal mockup for pitch decks, crowdfunding pages and your store.

How to make it

Four steps, about a minute of your time. These are real screens from the run above.

  1. 01

    Describe the product

Write the brand and the product in one line ('Lumen Coffee: single-origin whole bean from Ethiopia, bright and fruity'), then choose the package (box, stand-up pouch, paper bag, tin, bottle, jar or can), a style (Minimal, Bold, Luxury, Playful, Natural or Retro) and how many designs, up to four.

  2. 02

Let the studio design and shoot it

The AI writer plans each design in a different direction (typographic, illustrated, pattern-led or photographic) and a styled set for its mockup. Qwen Image 3 draws the flat artwork with your brand name, then the mockup step prints it on your package in a photoreal scene. Preview the plan free first.

  3. 03

    Compare designs and mockups

Each flat design sits next to its mockup, with one sentence on the idea behind it, so you can judge it as artwork and as a product on a shelf.

    Download or keep going

Open a mockup full size and download it for a deck, a pre-order page or your store. Or keep going: upscale it, animate it into a short clip, or put it on an ad design.

Why it beats
a template

01

Directions, not variations

Each design takes its own approach: type-led, illustrated, pattern-led or photographic. You compare real alternatives before you commit to one.

02

Your brand name, lettered in

The name goes to Qwen Image 3 exactly as you typed it, as the main lettering on the front, and the model is built for clean text.

03

A mockup of every design

Each design is printed on your package in a styled set, with a material and finish that suit it (matte kraft, gloss card, brushed metal, frosted glass), real light and shadows.

04

Seven package types

Box, stand-up pouch, paper bag, tin, bottle, jar or can. Pick the one you are launching in.

05

Show it before you make it

Show investors, retailers or backers what the product will look like before you order a single box.

06

Clean fronts, no made-up claims

The front carries the brand and product name and nothing else: no invented claims, no fake barcodes. The real ones go in your print file.

What makes packaging sell

  • Pass the three-second test: brand, product and flavour should read from across the aisle.
  • Pick one hero: a bold colour, an illustration or the type. Not all three competing.
  • Judge it small, next to the products it will sit beside, not full screen.
  • Code a range with colour: one layout, a different colour for each flavour or scent.
  • Get the dieline from your packaging supplier before final artwork. Every box and pouch folds differently.
  • Save the back and side panels for the barcode, ingredients and legal text.

Use the artwork and mockups to choose a direction and to sell early. For production, a designer rebuilds the chosen design on your supplier's dieline in a print-ready file, with all the required text.

Questions

Is the AI packaging design generator free?

You can preview the whole flow free: the AI writer plans real designs and mockup sets and shows them with sample images. Running it for real is on Plus ($10.50 a month, billed yearly) and uses 90 credits for three designs and their mockups. The free plan also includes 3 free images a day in the image studio.

Is the artwork print-ready?

No. The flow gives you front-of-pack concepts and mockups for choosing a direction, pitching and pre-selling. For production, a designer rebuilds the chosen design on your supplier's dieline, with the barcode, ingredients and legal text.

Can it spell my brand name correctly?

The name goes to Qwen Image 3 exactly as typed, and the model is built for clean lettering, so most designs get it right. Proofread each one. If a letter is off, fix it with an edit in the image studio or run the flow again.

What packages can it mock up?

Box, stand-up pouch, paper bag, tin, bottle, jar and can. Each mockup gets a material, a finish and a styled set that suit the product.

What is a dieline?

The flat template of your package: where it folds, glues and gets cut, with the bleed and safe areas marked. Your box or pouch supplier provides it, and the final artwork is laid out on it.

Can I use the mockups on a crowdfunding or pre-order page?

Yes. Paid plans include a commercial license. Mockups are made for pitch decks, crowdfunding and pre-order pages and social posts. Call them renders if the final product may change.

How long does it take?

Usually a minute or two: the flat artwork first, then the mockups.

Can I design packaging for a whole range?

Run the flow once per flavour or scent with the same style, or describe the job to the Agent ('matching packaging for three tea flavours') and it builds a flow that makes all of them.
